The OZ9800 series is populated using OZ600, OZ810, OZ816, OZ1603 or OZ1606 linear optical stand-alone modules in, a 1U 19” rack mount chassis. The modules can carry RS232 in addition to the broadband RF signal (on the same fiber). Each module has an individual DB-9 connector on the back panel that provide monitoring and alarms in addition to the RS232 signals. Links can be single fiber with built-in WDM. This custom-built product is capable of carrying up to 5 modules – each of which can be transceivers (TxRx) or only a Transmitter (Tx) or Receiver (Rx). Standard operational frequency ranges between 47 MHz and 3 GHz but it can be extended to range from 10 KHz to 6 GHz for both Cooled DFB or standard lasers.

OZ9800 can be powered using DC (+12 or -48 Volts) DC or 110-240 Volts AC. Dual redundant power supplies with automatic switching are standard for all chassis. Cooled DFB and/or builtin WDM are also available. Front panel LED indicators enable a visual check of power supplies and cumulative link status.. Standard optical connectors are SC/APC or FC/APC. RF connectors are 50 Ohm SMA or QMA – others e.g. 75ohm BNC are available for special orders.
